I have been searching for months trying to find a cost effective soarce of 4 x 6 photo cards with plastic sleeves to possibly sell at local book stores and art fairs. My local “professional” camera shop couldn’t even help me. I found a perfect example at a gift shop in Sanibel Island a few weeks ago while there on holiday. I almost gave up until I found a promotion for Photographers Edge, Inc. in the back of the July 2007 issue of Popular Photography. Not only were the items on the web site EXACTLY what I had been searching for – but in fact – the same source for the beautiful gift shop photo card I had purchased for $3.50 in Sanibel Island.

Photographers Edge web site not only had miles for cards to choose from but also plastic sleeves and other crafty items perfect for the art show enthusiast. They even offered a wonderful article with advice on approaching Book Store or Gift Shop owners to display and sell your cards. Check out the Selling Tips here.

I am going to spend some time on the site and choose the perfect cards and inform you on the purchase and my experience with Photographer’s Edge. And hopefully make a few $$$ selling them at my local Book Store!

I took this photo this summer on Sanibel Island, Florida. I achieved this effect using the WOW Lightroom presets offered for free at Ononesoftware.com. I highly recommend watching the 20 minute tutorial on how to use the presets!
