I came across these tips on taking fireworks photographs  listening to back episodes of The Digital Photography Show Show #12. It was just by chance that I was listening to their July 4th 2006 episode today (July 4th 2007)! They refer to this article on The Digital Photography School on “How to Photograph Fireworks displays” . Below are my fireworks photographs that I took July 4th 2005 at the Fanfare and Fireworks July 3rd Celebration in Gainesville, Florida at Flavel Field at the University Florida. I took these photos with a simple point and shoot camera (Cannon A75) set to Fireworks mode and on a tripod.
